Residual Recollection
Simbart Projects hosts ‘Residual Recollection’ group exhibition featuring the latest drawings of Tuğçe Diri, Aras Seddigh and Rabia Seyhan between the dates 20 May-17 July 2021. New layers of meaning have been created in the works through the hybrid images that bring together reality and fiction, which overflow from the subconscious through architectural sections, textures or symbols. These images, created by re-enacting some details that were experienced, seen, learned or thought to have been forgotten in the past, are defined as “residuals” in the memory. The images that float between the acquired information and consciously recorded images, become concrete in the practice of drawing, which acts like an extension of the artists’ bodies and minds.
