According to Reception Aesthetics, all literary oeuvres contain ambiguities and fragments in them which create questions during the reading process. The reader/viewer contribute in generating meaning by filling the blanks. As stated in Hans Robert Jauss’ ‘Erwartungshorizont’ theory, a reader interprets a work through the intellectual window of the culture that he belongs to, thus the meaning of a work changes in different periods.
