School
Simbart Projects hosts Begüm Mütevellioğlu’s solo exhibition “School” between 12 May and 4 July. The exhibition constructs on artistic production not merely as a field of individual expression, but as a body of practices transmitted across generations. The notion of “school” is approached not simply as a structure through which technical knowledge is conveyed, but as a system in which ways of seeing are passed down. The exhibition examines how repetition, transmission, and modes of perception become embedded, and how certain forms of representation establish an order that directs the gaze.
