Represented Artist

Sibel Kırık (b.1979) has graduated from Yıldız Technical University Gravure and Engraving Department in 2000. Later she continued her higher education and graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Masters Department of Painting in 2010. The artist had her solo exhibitions titled ‘Construction of a New Extent: Brutal’ in 2022 and ‘Act-Metabole’ in 2024 at Simbart Projects.

The concepts in the artist’s production practice are based on the juxtaposition and overlap of space forms formed around synchronicity, strange encounters and relationships, creating a time with a new space. Her recent works allow forms and colors to exist as they are and to present a unique mode of expression. Her practice centers on the transformations that objects undergo in relation to their natural structure and perception within the physical world, illustrating a process through which the artist engages with various materials. Kırık is represented by Simbart Projects and continues to live and work in Istanbul.
