Oktay Yılmaz was born in Muğla in 1998. After completing my high school education in the painting department of a fine arts high school, I started studying at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2016. He started his master’s degree at the same faculty in 2021 and is still continuing. He states that trying new things on the surface, producing mainly in this sense and using different tools while doing these nourishes him. It carries the random appearances we encounter in our daily lives onto the surface and limits myself in terms of materials. The main looks he uses while doing this are light, shadow and darkness. Instead of using the object itself, he often uses the darkness or shadow it creates.
