The ninth edition of StART Art Fair took place at Saatchi Gallery attracting nearly 15,000 visitors over five days, with almost 2,000 guests attending the Private View.
Since its first edition in 2014, StART art fair has become known for bringing the work of lesser-known artistic communities – those ‘starting’ to break into the global consciousness – to both established collectors and those ‘starting’ out on their collecting journey.
2022 fair highlights included; London-based collage artist Pedro Merry who showed an entirely new series of works selling all but two of his more than 20 works by the last day of the fair. First time exhibitor ‘West Contemporary’ shone out with their diverse selection of urban artists including Fin DAC and sculptor Beth Cullen Kerridge.
Tech partner Samsung showcased its bespoke luxury multimedia display “The Wall” featuring films by punk artist Illuminati Neon within his “In 1977 I wanna go to heaven…” exhibition installation. The technology brand also placed its interactive Flip displays throughout the gallery with stunning digital artworks being created by artists and visitors throughout the week.
