Seniha Ünay was born in Silifke, Mersin in 1987. She completed her high school, undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Painting. In 2011, she continued her studies at “Artist in Residence Programme” organised by Austrian Ministry of Culture and Arts in Wien and Cer Modern Art Center in Turkey as a guest artist. She was presented an exhibiting award by Siemens at “Borders – Orbits Contest” and an achievement award by “Genç Güncel Sanat Proje Yarışması” (Young Contemporary Arts Project Contest) in 2015. In 2021, she took part in the #life #justice #art studio led by Kevser Güler, the Curator and Yapıkredi Culture and Art Director, under Misar Art Coordination. He realized the “Narratives Conversation Series” within Güncel Sanat Arşivi. She lives and works in Düzce.
